Climate work is hard, but you don’t have to do it alone
Join a private community where climate professionals and transitioners connect, learn, and accelerate their impact together
Hey there, Marco & Skander here 👋
A few years ago we were doom-scrolling climate Twitter at 2 a.m. and hit the same wall you probably know: a fire-hose of headlines, zero usable roadmap. Which problems are real? Which companies need help right now? Where can our skills move the needle tomorrow?
Straight answers didn’t exist, so we built them. Over the last years Climate Drift has grown into the no-fluff community that surfaces live opportunities, connects you to the people fixing them, and turns midnight worry into daylight action.
After 100+ deep dives, four accelerator cohorts and hard learnings, we’re opening the doors to new members.
Apply if any of these sound like you ↓
Jumping into climate? Skip the Google rabbit-hole and plug straight into live projects, sector playbooks, and a brain-trust that’s done it before.
Building a climate company? Tap a vetted pool of mid-career operators who can scope, ship, and scale alongside you.
Working in climate? Bring your policy snags, GTM puzzles, and fundraising-deck headaches; workshop them with peers who’ve already slain those dragons.

In short: if you care, get in here.
Small print: We interview every applicant to keep the signal high and the noise low. Readers of Climate Drift jump to the front of the interview queue.

🌊 Let’s dive in
Climate Drift: What happened so far
We started as two burned-out founders poking around climate, asking “Where can we actually help? Where are the bottlenecks?” After jumping on calls with climate companies, diving into their problems, doing some angel investing, working with some of the top climate funds, researching, writing and working, we realised that:
Climate solutions weren't (only) lacking capital or technology as much as they needed experienced talent who could execute.
Promising climate companies needed senior talent that knew how to build and scale, while those very operators had no clear on-ramp.
Our first move was to jump on weeks of free 1-on-1 career calls for the 300 people on our wait-list, plus a pilot workshop that filled out in a weekend.
So in 2023 we launched the Climate Drift Accelerator.
Since then
Four cohorts, 50 people each, now 200+ alumni (drifties), ex-DOE staff, Amazon and Spotify execs, the lot.
Dozens of published challenges, that you have been reading here
Fireside guests keep asking to come back because the questions are that good (and the answers move the companies forward).
We started sharing our learnings publicly:
Still hundreds apply, many can’t spare eight intense weeks, and founders/investors keep pinging us for deeper access.
We’re still not VC-backed, we’re still allergic to 500-face Zoom grids, and the accelerator stays capped at three high-touch cohorts of 50 per year.
How can we help the rest? What about the people who don’t have currently the time for 8+ intensive weeks? What about the people who want to dip their toes?
Also what about the companies & investors who ping us and want to be more closely involved?
The answer is open the Climate Drift Community: same no-fluff brainpower, flexible pace, deeper access for builders, operators and capital alike.
This is what we built 👇
What You Get (Our Promise):
📚 A Knowledge Power-Up:
Cut the doomscroll. Members unlock the Drift Library: our investor‑grade sector briefs, Solutions Map 2.0, and “state of play” decks we build for our cohorts and partners. All in plain English. It’s like having a climate analyst perched on your shoulder, minus the billable hours.Have access to early versions of the challenges published here, shape the direction our deep dives should take, request new ones. Also directly connect and chat with the people writing them.
🤝 Connections that Count:
This isn’t a random Slack with 10,000 people. It’s a curated circle of doers. Entrepreneurs, policy wonks, engineers, investors. All vetted for seriousness and generosity. You’ll meet them in workshops, AMAs, and yes, even fun monthly mixers. These are folks you actually want in your network. From Moji building Climate Insurance in Africa to Alex fighting for Digital Public Goods, Marketeers like Maura and Sean, operators like Tessa and Nik sharing their Offtake & FOAK hacks, to founders like Johann sharing what they see happing behind closed doors and investors like Mairi sharing how founders best raise money today.
🎙️ Learn from the Best:
Our members rub shoulders with climate all-stars. How? We host weekly live sessions: one week it might be an open Q&A with a leading climate scientist, another week a candid “unhinged” chat with a startup CEO who shares what didn’t make it into the press release. You get to be in the (virtual) room with them, ask questions, bring answers, get mentorship.🚀 Perks to Boost Your Journey:
Thinking about joining the accelerator? As a member, you get 20% off automatically. Consider it our way of investing in you.
If you want to join the accelerator: We are selecting people for our next cohort now. Apply here.
🌟 Zero Fluff, All Impact: We maintain a strict no “bro science,” no endless self-promo rule. Moderation is light because the culture is strong: show up curious, share what works, keep the noise low. Everyone’s here to help solve climate, not argue. It’s refreshing.
Who it’s for (and who can skip)
👉 We’re not for everyone, and that’s by design.
Climate Drift is built for the operator who’s done “real work” already and now wants that horsepower pointed at climate.
You’ve logged a decade wrangling teams, supply chains, code, capital—pick your lane.
You just quit BigCo for something that matters, or you’re already inside a climate org and want to level-up fast.
You think climate is solvable if smart people share what works instead of hoarding it. Collaboration > secrecy.
On the flip side, if you’re just casually interested in climate or looking for a generic forum to vent, we’re not that. There are free and low-priced groups with thousands of people for that. We’re more intentional and intimate.
Every member is interviewed before joining – not to be exclusive, but to make sure we all share a common drive. That keeps the signal high and the noise low.
In short: If you’re serious about doing something that matters in climate, you’ll fit right in. If you’re not ready yet, no hard feelings. Come back when you are.
How It Works:
Apply & Introduce Yourself:
Click the “Apply Now” button and spend 5 minutes on the “get to know me” form. It’s not a test, just a way for us to understand who you are.
We’ll schedule a quick video chat to welcome you (and ensure we’re a mutual fit).
Choose a Plan:
Membership is $29/month or $296/year (your choice). We kept it simple and affordable. Roughly the price of a conference ticket, but all year long.
Many Drifties expense it as professional development; we can hand you the justification copy.Dive In: Same day you’re approved you’re inside the platform, greeted in the intro thread and pointed to the resource vault. Into Circular Economy? Carbon Removal? Energy? We got sub-communities for those + more)
Don’t forget to subscribe to our calendar, so you can join all sessions in real time.
Grow Your Climate Impact: From there, it’s on you to take advantage! Attend events, get feedback on something specific to you, DM someone to grab (virtual) coffee. The more you show up, the more you’ll get out of it. We regularly check in with you during your first month to make sure you’re settling in and getting value.
After that it’s simple: bring value, get value, repeat.
Sounds cool… but what do Drifties actually say?
We measure the community the same way we measure climate projects: by outcomes and hard numbers.
Net Promoter Score (aka “Would you recommend this to a friend?”: 75.
(Apple averages 63, Netflix hovers near 68.) Drifties are senior operators who don’t give gold stars lightly, so a 75 lands in the “keep doing exactly that” zone (and pushes us to push more).Overall satisfaction: 4.7 / 5.
That’s across seasoned professionals from the U.S. Department of Energy, Amazon, Spotify, McKinsey, national labs and Series-B climate startups. People who spend their workdays critiquing roadmaps and OKRs.
And that’s just the quant side; the qualitative feedback makes us blush a bit more:
“Most good education is transactional. You put effort in. You get something valuable out of it.
Then there is exceptional education. The type of education that’s transformative. And Climate Drift is 100% transformative.
I see it all around me in this community.” - Allie, Higher Education Leader, 10+ years experience serving 1k+ students per year.
“My gratitude for this community is basically boundless. Everyone in this community is so smart, so curious, and has such diverse expertise. I am incredibly grateful to be among this group.” - Meredith, Founding Product Manager at Battery & Storage Company with 200+ employees.
“Even if you’re already in Climate, this is a great program with A+ people in it.” - Tracy, Transportation expert at (a company you all know).
